 We have approximately 17,000 items in our collection, including over 600 DVDs and 20 magazines. Your library card entitles you to borrow library materials, use the computers, read the newspapers and magazines, access the reference materials and request inter-library loans. 

There are three computers available for public use, featuring high speed Internet access and a suite of office software. We also have a fax machine and copier available for public use.

The library has extensive fiction and non-fiction collections, including a range of large print, audio, and video titles and a freely circulating collection of over 1,000 paperbacks, and can generally obtain anything that it doesn't own through inter-library loan within a week or two.

We also have a large set of reference resources and material on the history of Brownsville, the surrounding area, and Pennsylvania in general.

The library is also a source for information on: Parenting, Community Action, Social organizations, tax forms, and financial aid information for college.

BFPL has high speed internet and free WiFi access. Patrons can “check out” a computer using their library card at the Circulation Desk. Visitors may also use the computer after signing in on our Visitor’s Log. There is a 30 minute time limit on the computers when patrons are waiting. Prints are 25¢ per page for black and white.

BFPL staff will gladly make copies for patrons at a cost of 25¢ per page for black and white copies . Double-sided copying counts as 2 pages. Fees are due at the time copies are made.

Library staff may fax documents for patrons at a cost of $1.00 per page, including cover page. If a patron needs to have an item faxed to the library, they must be present at the time the fax is received. Fees for faxing are due at time of service.
